The B.O.U.N.C.E is a truly unique off-road bikepacking adventure, run over 5 days in the spectacular mountains of Northern Spain.
… it only happens once a year.
Riders are challenged to create their own route with the aim of collecting as many checkpoints as possible within the 105 hour time limit… & the clock does not stop.
There are approximately 84 checkpoints scattered far and wide across 1,000km of rough Spanish mountain trails within a 1,200 square km area of some of the most beautiful and rugged terrain in Europe. All of the checkpoints are located well away from tarmac roads and some are extremely remote!
In order to reach them, you’ll be guided by our extensively researched and comprehensive ‘Course Notes Pack’, which you’ll receive 8 weeks before the start date and will give you all the essential details and locations of each of the checkpoints, along with detailed information about all the off-road trails; each of which has been thoroughly researched and scouted by our team before the event.
Riders can either compete solo or in teams up to 4.
The event will be totally ‘Unsupported’, meaning that, in order to cover the distances involved, riders will most likely choose to carry all of the ‘wild-camping’ equipment necessary for sustaining themselves over the duration of the whole event. Re-supply and accommodation will be allowed but must not be pre-arranged beforehand.
GPS and navigational tech is allowed however there will also be an elite analogue ‘Hero class’ for those who shun technology and relish the challenge of tackling the whole event with only the use of paper, pencil, map and compass.
There are no prizes.
There is an after-party.
The very first edition of ‘The Bounce’ will take place between 1800hrs on Sunday 11th September and 2000hrs Friday 16th September 2022 in the region of Valderrobres, Spain.
