Austin Vince

Austin is a motorcycle adventurer, film maker, maths teacher and event organiser. Since he can remember he’s been heading off on adventures by motorbike and encouraging others to do the same. In 1995 he set off on his Mondo Enduro around-the-world expedition and subsequently became known as one of the world leaders in long distance do-it-yourself motorcycle adventures. In 2001 he set up the V.I.N.C.E off-road motorcycle navigation challenge event in the Spanish Pyrenees and has been creating navigational challenges in the area ever since.

He’s now putting all of this knowledge and experience together to bring you The B.O.U.N.C.E.

(The event is created, hosted and administered by Austin. He will meet you at the start and finish of The B.O.U.N.C.E. However, he will NOT be on standby as a rescue or support service DURING the event.)

Pete McNeil

Pete is a bicycle adventurer, endurance racer and mountain bike guide. Since he can remember he’s been heading off on cycling adventures and encouraging others to do the same. In 2012 he set out with his wife, Alice on their mcneilsonwheels expedition to cycle 22,000km from the UK to New Zealand. Over the 2 years this took, they came up with the idea that more people should have adventures by bike and so set up Adventure Pedlars as a way of inspiring and facilitating this. He’s also finished at the pointy end of some of the hardest bikepacking events in the world including the Highland 550 and the Silk Road Mountain Race.

He’s now putting all of this knowledge and experience together to help bring you The B.O.U.N.C.E.

The B.O.U.N.C.E is born!

With so much accumulated trail knowledge and data from years of successful V.IN.C.E’s it became clear that a cycling version of the event was just begging to happen… However, with the distances involved, it quickly became apparent that in order to have a hope of doing well in the B.O.U.N.C.E, a more self-supported bikepacking approach would be needed.

If you’re keen to ride the B.O.U.N.C.E we recommend you learn more about the V.I.N.C.E by watching these 2 films:
